42nd Ward Republican Organization Online HQ

Welcome to our online headquarters! The 42nd Ward Republican Organization is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, and is home to more Republicans than any other ward in Chicago. Maintaining and growing that Republican base is a top priority for the 42nd Ward GOP, as well as outreach to independent voters, new voter registration and protecting the integrity of the polling places by recruiting solid, Republican Election Judges and poll watchers.

Eloise Gerson was first elected Republican Committeeman for the 42nd Ward in February of 2008, and also served as President of the organization since 2001. Because of her committment, dedication, and the results that have shown in the 42nd Ward, she was elected Chicago Republican Party Chairman by the 50 Ward Committeeman.

2010 presents significant opportunity for Republicans in Illinois. With the Blagojevich scandal, the abuse of power by Mike Madigan and Todd Stroger, and the constant barrage of tax increases in the times of economic trouble, the 2010 election provides the best chance for Republicans to win statewide offices in several election cycles. The city of Chicago is critical to statewide victory. The battle will be won at the grassroots level with strong and aggresive efforts by ward organizations, especially in the 42nd Ward. The 42nd Ward GOP will be working closely with the Chicago Republican Party's 2010 Initiative.
